Process color, also called CMYK, a term that we do not talk a lot but shows up everywhere in our daily life. Magazines, posters,documents in office, were all` printed from this color model.

By combining Cyan (C), Magenta (M), Yellow (Y), Black (K), a printing machine can generate up to 1,030,401 kinds of colors.
The first color Inkjet paper printer, adopting Process Color Model, was literally published in 1991. Revolution came up almost every year to print faster and prettier.
In 2010, Mimaki launched the world's first desktop UV-LED curable inkjet printer to print CMYK images on 3D subtracts. Tons of revolution take place again for better and more functions.

However, these revolution completely cover the fact that Pad Printing - one of the oldest school printing solution, is also capable to print CMYK images.
Why CMYK Pad Printing while Digital Printing is already so advanced?

The operation of the pad printing machine is a lot simpler than digital printer. The training needed for pad printing is way lesser too.
The machine structure of Pad Printers is way simpler than Digital Printers. Any general mechanic engineers should be capable to fix a pad printer while fixing digital printer is always hard and costly.
Characteristic

Pad printing is meant to print on both regular and irregular substrates. Though more advanced digital printing machines are out to print irregular shaped substrates, pad printing is still the most adaptive printing solution in the industry.

Indeed, the idea of Process Color pad printing was not new but the development was very slow because no suppliers could provide a one stop solution for the factories.
Only a few high-end pad printing factories could afford to hire a R & D team and purchase machinery from different suppliers to develop the solution. These factories may face some technical obstacles in the development, but they have more time and resources to go through a trial-and-error process to debug the solution.

The solution somehow works perfectly in some high-end factories but was kept as a secret recipe in a safe. The solution is already there but only a few fellows in the industry know the tricks. To achieve the same, Softag went through the same Trial & Error process. As we do not work for any suppliers, we can freely source from the suppliers whoever could fulfill our requirement.
However, we do not only aim to pad print a few CMYK images. The solution must be easy to use. The operator should only need simple training to be able to print CMYK images and can repeat the printing jobs by following a standard procedure.
After tons of study and trial, by fulfilling the Usability and Repeatability, Softag brings up the first ever Benchmark Process Pad Printing Solution.
​However, the machinery and supplies, which form the solution, are supplied by 5 different suppliers. If Softag resells the machinery and supplies, we will have to double up the pricing to make the business worthwhile. This may hidden the competitiveness of the solution, because the setup cost would be as high as Digital Printing, while Digital printing is always supplied by a single supplier.
Instead of reselling machinery and supplies, Softag only sell the Turnkey Solution which will redirect our backers to purchase directly from our suppliers.

Our backers will avoid all middleman's markup and Softag will save tons of time and resources on negotiating with our clients and managing suppliers. Instead, we will focus to better off the solution.
